1948 – From Brewery to Cosmetics Manufacturers

As the owner of the “brewery Georgensgmuend” Emil Kiessling is asked by American officers what he needed to continue his activity. Kiessling responds with “grain”, not knowing the meaning of the English word “corn” (maize). As a true entrepreneur Kiessling proves his ingenuity and uses corn fermentation released substances for the manufacture of hair tonics.
