1948 – From Brewery to Cosmetics Manufacturers

As the owner of the “brewery Georgensgmuend” Emil Kiessling is asked by American officers what he needed to continue his activity. Kiessling responds with “grain”, not knowing the meaning of the English word “corn” (maize). Waltraud Reichardt, owner of Reichardt group, acquires Emil Kiessling GmbH and sets up an ambitious R&D team, with the objective of developing market and trend lead products.
